I offer the following colours, that I wished for when I started wearing a pressure earring on a keloid on my ear:
- Gold (15mm or 12mm)
- Silver (15mm or 12mm)
- Antique Copper (15mm)
- Bright Copper (12mm)
- Light Rose Gold (15mm)
- Antique Bronze (15mm)
The 12mm cuff is made from lighter 16 gauge wire, and so is a little easier to manipulate and may fit well to the ear lobe also. While it offers less compression than the standard size, you may prefer its smaller size and finer lines.
NOTE: This ear cuff is not a medical device and has not been designed specifically to reduce or prevent keloid scar development. However it may be worn over keloid scar tissue and the pressure adjusted for comfort and compression. Compression may assist in slowing keloid growth.

Materials and details
- Wire size: 14 gauge (15mm cuff) or 16 gauge (12mm cuff) wire
- Silver & gold wire: high quality, copper core wire plated in fine silver, then finished with clear or gold tinted tarnish-resistant* coating
- Vintage bronze, antique copper, & bright copper wire - high quality, copper core wire finished in clear or tinted tarnish-resistant* coating
- Size: 15mm diameter (regular) or 12mm diameter (small)
- Hypoallergenic?: the silver and bright copper ear cuffs have a copper core and clear or fine silver coated finish that, would be considered hypoallergenic. However, the coloured coatings on the gold, bronze and antique copper would not be considered hypoallergenic.
What about packaging, sustainability and the environment?
- Silver and copper are reusable and recyclable. Other than the coloured or clear coatings, no other materials are used in these ear cuffs.
- Each piece of jewellery comes with a hand-stamped jewellery card and is packaged in a reusable, 100% unbleached cotton drawstring pouch.
- For extra protection in transit I also use 100% recycled acid-free tissue wrap paper.
- Orders of 1 to 2 items are packed in a slim, rigid cardboard mailing box, which can be reused or recycled, and any labels and tapes can be easily removed or recycled too. These smaller slim boxes take up less space than bulkier parcels, meaning fewer transport vehicles are required on the road.
- Processing time: For standard orders, please allow 1 to 2 days processing time while existing stock is carefully checked and prepared prior to pick-up or dispatch.

*A note on tarnishing:
It's important to note that the pH level of someone's skin can cause a metal to tarnish faster, leading to discolouration of the skin or tarnishing/darkening of the jewellery; if the wearer's skin is more acidic, they may see more rapid tarnishing on certain metals like silver or copper. The wire used in this piece has a clear or tinted tarnish-resistant coating, which reduces the likelihood and extent of tarnishing, but it may still wear off gradually over time. To further protect your jewellery, keep it clean and dry, and avoid contact with perfumes, detergents and chlorine.
