These are original handmade cyanotype photogram/sun prints, not a digital reproduction, nor are they reprinted using a digital negative which means that it is currently available in one size only (life size because of the contact printing nature of the process). The emulsion has been painted on the premium cotton paper page by me and the specimen was collected and pressed either from my garden, my conservation property or during my field expeditions as an ecological scientist (under permit). Where possible, specimens are reused again and again to cause as little to no harm as possible to the wild plants. Each print is handmade and one-of-a-kind.
Materials: This original artwork is created on premium 100% cotton 350 gsm paper. It is then mounted on archival, pH neutral board ready to frame. Cyanotype is sensitive to pH so specialist paper and mounting materials are required.
Care Instructions: Cyanotype is archival and you should expect this print to last for centuries. For best results, frame under UV proof glass however it isn’t necessary.
Always keep out of direct sunlight, if you notice any change in colour, simply put the artwork in a dark place overnight and it will recover to its former glory.
