Enamel on Copper Stud Earrings

These cute little studs are simple but striking and are easily combined with a variety of outfits. They make for excellent gifts and are perfect as an everyday staple.

To make these earrings, vitreous enamel powder is sprinkled onto copper and heat with a torch. When the metal is hot enough, the powder melts and fuses onto the earring.

If the copper edges darken, you can return the shine by gently cleaning with a little bicarb and lemon juice. Then, polish them gently with a soft cloth (such as the polishing cloth provided).
